This Week's Shopping List

4 tomatoes
Lettuce
Grapes
Bananas
Celery
1 green pepper
4 med potatoes
Bread
2 lb drumsticks
Lean, boneless beef tenderloin steaks, 1 inch thick
1 lb ground chuck
½ lb frozen fish fillets
1 8oz can pineapple chunks
1 11oz can mandarin oranges
1 4oz can green chiles
2 14oz can diced tomatoes
1 10oz can tomato soup
2 14oz cans diced tomatoes with garlic
1 15oz jar alfredo sauce
Taco sauce
1 7oz jar roasted red peppers in water
Granola bars
Corn tortillas
12 Eggs
1 6oz strawberry container yogurt
1 6oz lemon yogurt
1 env ranch dressing mix
Dry white wine
1 16oz package frozen butter beans
1 12oz bag frozen seasoning blend- onion, bell peppers, celery, parsley

Snack: celery with dressing
Dinner: Pan-Seared with Red Pepper Sauce** with baked potatoes

Tuesday
Breakfast: OJ, Oatmeal with an apple
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Salad
Snack: V8 Fusion
Dinner: Honey Glazed Chicken Legs* with Micro Nacho Potatoes*
Dessert: German Chocolate Cake

Wednesday
Breakfast: OJ, Oatmeal  with an apple
Snack: pecans

Lunch: Frosted Fruit Salad
Snack: Half peanut butter sandwich
Dinner:Simple Fish Chowder


Thursday
Breakfast: OJ, Oatmeal with an apple
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Tossed Apple Salad**
Snack: V8 Fusion
Dinner: Breakfast Burritos Ole* with fruit

This Week's Shopping List

There were a few things I already had on hand, but most of these items from the menu I had to get. I think this week was a victory against the triangle - 6 days of meals (the 7th day is leftovers and such), all easy (the dinner recipes came from 5 ingredient cookbooks), healthy, and on a budget ($80-$90).


Bag of Apples
Bunch of Bananas
One bag lettuce
One bag spinach
1 pear
3 green onions
Blueberries
1 tomato
New potatoes
Asparagus
1 onion
Lime juice
Balsamic vinaigrette
Blueberry pomegranate vinaigrette
V8 Fusion
Milk
OJ
2 lb ground meat
4 fish fillets, fresh or frozen
4 pork chops
2 15oz cans no salt added back beans
3 8oz cans no salt added tomato sauce
1 16oz can pinto beans
1 14.5oz can petite diced tomatoes
1 14oz can Italian style stewed tomatoes
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple in juice
Salsa
Chili seasoning
1 oz package Bowtie pasta
Mozzarella cheese (soft)
1 8oz package cream cheese
Precooked chicken
Frozen carrots
Frozen mixed vegetables
1 8oz tub cool whip
1 graham cracker crust

Tuesday

Lunch: Caprese Salad with Bread
Snack: V8 Fusion
Dinner: Flounder with pineapple salsa**, with steamed carrots and new potatoes
Dessert: "Chris Sikorski Blueberry Pie" recipe*

Wednesday

Snack: Banana
Lunch: Walnut-Blueberry Salad
Snack: V8 Fusion
Dinner: Beef and Black Bean Chili**

Thursday
Breakfast: OJ, Oatmeal with an apple
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Progresso Soup
Snack: V8 Fusion
Dinner: Pork chops with leftover pineapple salsa, with steamed carrots and asparagus

Friday
Breakfast: OJ, Oatmeal  with apple
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Tomato Basil Soup
Snack: pecans
Dinner: Skillet Chops and Rice**

Saturday
Breakfast: OJ, Oatmeal  with apple
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Progresso Soup
Snack: V8 Fusion
Dinner: Buttery lime- basted catfish*, with grilled asparagus
